about

Here we all are, and we're sick and tired of the mp3 sites that shadily sell our music for pennies. Some artists, in fact, too many artists write it off as easy promotion. But we really shouldn't be allowing ourselves to become complacent. Status quo only becomes status quo if we allow it to. Let's hit those dicksites back. A few artists noticed that they just scrape the webz for new music, especially the bigger name guys, so let's give them something that will amount to shit on their end while making a point to fans and everyone else that we give a shit.
We planned to get as many artists on board to join a synthwave/retro synth compilation with all the tracks consisting of nothing but tape hiss/noise. The more we artists we got, the more attention to this issue we can get. Make no mistake, we're definitely trolling and being dicks, but we do have an issue that we'd like to get attention.

Fans: please download this (doesn't have to be the highest quality, you can download as mp3s to save on storage) and please stream this album. Also, if you have a couple of hours to spare, or if you want to while you're sleeping, put the bandcamp player on mute and let the whole thing stream. Let's make it to the top of the charts and get some real attention our way.

And please take the time to search for and visit these artists' own soundclouds and bandcamps, each of them are very talented producers and/or musicians in their own respective rights

Class Action II, featuring new original music by some of these vol I artists, will be released April 1st, with a new issue of the Retro Promenade magazine (featuring album reviews, music spotlights, retro game and film articles; the cover story will be "The State Of Retro Synth" - a panel discussion with contributions from some of the long standing figureheads and blog/label/outlet runners about the history of our community and where it's possibly headed in the future), new merch and a physical cassette release published by Weekend Warrior . Stay tuned...
