kmxexii Absinth3 sticks to warmth, even when covering something like horror icon Christine. The EP is sympathetic to Arnie and makes more sense if you imagine Christine as a human being involved in teenage melodrama instead of a car. "Knowing Your Friends" is as dark as things get, a stroller that has an uptempo shift toward the end. "Hooked On Love" is a slower, lovely tune with an air of bittersweet romance. I love the sound of "Redemption" but it tends to wear over its four-and-a-half minute length. Favorite track: Knowing Your Friends From Your Enemies.

FLESH MECHANIC It's been a while since I've heard synthwave so pure. This is the kind of music that made all of us fall in love with the genre. Favorite track: Hooked On Love.

Dyke Grenadier Low-key and subtly dark. Everything about this EP is just so wonderfully relaxing. Favorite track: Hooked On Love.
